ive been having a crapASS week. it first started off with a speeding ticket that i really cant afford. then i was late for work. then a rude ass customer almost made me cry. then getting a stomach VIRUS and missing two days of school - including an EXAM.
when you hit a downward spiral, baby do you HIT IT HARD: one shitty thing after another. its times like these where i really wish we were all back together again and i could just lean on someone's shoulder or whine and cry and cry and then laugh. but i know this too shall pass, they always do. i get off early on friday and then me and michelle are gonna see our1st graders 2nd graders again! so yeah, im already looking forward to this crappy week ending on the upside.
unfortunately, i'm unable to balance all that i've put on my plate and i found myself falling flat on my face. but thats life i guess. you cant be AMAZING at everything ... but you can try, and dammit, i TRIED. in the time since school started in august and now, i've lost 6lbs - that is so NOT healthy for a girl who is already underweight. in dealing with all the stress of time constraints, i found myself choosing sleep over food, study time over sleep, and papers over studying. i wasnt taking care of myself the way i used to and basically, i wasnt eating right if i even ate at all. so i began to supress the pains in my stomach. i remember going a whole day on nothing more than half a bottle of water. it got to a point where it became too much. on tuesday, i couldnt even stand up. so a doctors visit lead to a viral infection diagnosis, antibiotics and pain medications.
you miss out on a lot of your responsibilities in two days ... but at the same time, you can regain perspective. and don't we all need those moments where the world slows down for a few of minutes so we can just regain our perspectives?! (my dad says to take care of yourself first. that is the only way you can be ready to take care of others.) now im back, literally on my feet, ive eased up on my course load, dropping a class and a lab & im already feeling less stressed. for the first time in my life, stress was eating away at my physical health ... im definitely not as young as i used to be.
but you know what? with age comes wisdom. and now i know better.
love you and miss you all!
