i hope you're in town this august. all of you.
playing: N.E.R.D - She Wants To Move

so i called ryan right away about whether or not i should get tickets to the tour ... and somehow the conversation turns to old-school tv. you know how everyone gets back to talking about old-school cartoons (how our cartoons were so much better than the kids cartoons nowadays!) i got tired of talking cartoons. so i talked about gameshows. & i narrowed it down to some of my top favorites (oh, hells yeah! haha):

Where ... is Carmen San Diego? (91-96, 96-98)
ok, ok, i was a geek. the best part was answering the questions before the players did or getting stumped and being all, oooOOOOooooh.

legends of the hidden temple (93-95)
the Steps of Knowledge, Pendant of Life, Shrine of the Silver Monkey ... hahaha ... goodstuff. my favorite team was the Silver Snakes ... haha ... & you all know, i was NOT the only one who got freaked out when those Temple Guards would pop out! haha

nick arcade (92-93)
Mikey, The Wizard's Challenge, Super Ghouls'n'Ghosts ... lol ... i was always like, DUH! JUMP! the prizes were horrible but i think this was during the time where we had just gotten a Nintendo or Super Nintendo! (yeAH buddy!) and gaming was all the rage.

Double Dare (86-91, 90-93)
i liked and disliked this show. sometimes it was boring and other times it was the funniest thing. i think i liked it most because of that BiG NOSE that they had to dig through in the end to find the flag. haha, as a kid, that was the most hilarious shit.

The Crystal Maze
joy and i were committed to this show every Tuesday night back in Japan. I think its from UK or Australia or something. The host was pretty ... uhm, off? but i guess that was part of what made it interesting. the games were either: physicaly, mental, skill, or mystery. ooooh! mystery! haha ... dammit, i wish someone else remembered it! lol ...

other honorable mentions:
+ Global Guts: the AGRO-CRAG! haha, wtf?!
+ Fun House
+ did i miss one? add it in the comments

of course as you grow older, the concepts of some of these shows become ridiculously clear: how retarded?! the prizes were dumb at times and omg, the hosts could be so corny. but you watched it. every week or even day, you watched it. and now that theres so much going on, you miss it. i do miss these ones.

k im done. peace out, kids.

i feel weird.

the other day, i was thinking about my old pal America and how much i miss that chick and how fuuuun it would be to have someone like her around right now especially since im just feeling so weird.

she was all, "i wonder what it would feel like to be in a car crash."

and im all, "whoa .... yeah ... me too ..."

and then i remembered that i have been in one (minor) and it sucked.

i wish i lived someplace like texas. that way i could say "hey, dont mess with texas."

haha

some other old crap i forgot to mention: andy broke up with mandy. what a prick. haha ... ok, maybe not. but i was sad for them. mandy moore seemed like a sweet girl. plus she has a cute haircut. & solange is married/pregnant. & im going to see outkast on wednesday. & yellowcard/soCO saturday.

<before>

we watched the uconn/g-tech finals last night. can you say fa-REE-kin disappointing? i wanted uconn to win and all but g-tech (you say it like that if youre cool, or so my dad says) wasnt playing their game. i fell asleep while joy watched in my room. scooter was sleeping next to me and taking up my space, haha.

</before>

the other day, we skipped out on going shopping. we just had to watch the kings/rockets game. cj is for the rockets coz of yao, and i think my mom is too. me and joy are for the kings (coz mike bibby is my height! hahaha ... ) and my dad likes the lakers. coz he's been to their games. haha ... they (kings) need to hurry up and start winning on the road ... was it milwaukee or lakers in front? i forget ... but it still sucks not being first. oh well, we'll get em in playoffs yeah? btw, peja (or was it STOiJAKOVIC? haha, ryan!) is the 2nd highest point-maykah! haha ... behind t-mac. but my uncle said t-mac is a hater. haha ...

oh yeah, joy likes my turn-around-fade-away-kiss-shot from the other day!

haha

right in the noggin!

what son? what?!

hahahaha

<after>

its funny when this guy said (after the girl's win), "uconn ... theyre like the yankees of college basketball"

hahaha

i hate the yankees.
</after>

ok. im done ba-la-bolling. whatever that is. haha.

i cant believe march is already over!?

i came home at 4:30 and knocked out until like 9 something. i didnt even bother to get up to watch american idol. i was semi-awake listening to everyone else watch it. lots on my plate again. its another exam week and next week is a review week. then the week after is my spring semester finals. on top of everything, i just found out that my other grandmother in cali died. i havent been able to concentrate on really anything at school because of that. plus from the looks of things, i prolly wont be able to make it out there because of circumstances out of my control. they're booking the flights this evening for my mom, joy, and maybe cj. so ive just been feeling horrible and guilty and everything of the like. its very hard to concentrate and every two minutes, i just want to cry. but school, and teaching, and work, and phone calls with ryan, and msn fests with the ones who matter, and most definitely prayer has been getting me through the days.

but on to other stuff. my induction into nscs is early fall. we're getting things set up/ready for it during the summer. i even received my decal, haha. im so excited about it. its my second best accomplishment next to starting my field experience in the classroom. ah, the things to look forward to.

my biology lab has been awesome. last week we disected cow hearts which wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. it was just like cutting up meat. today though, we had the most super, oh-my-goodness you would not believe it, intensifitricity (haha), gross, graphic, DETAiLED, very very detailed(!) presentation on sex health (Sexual Health Advocates Raising Knowlege). the dude's official title was a "Clinical Sexologist." me and the the dave chapelle dude were the only ones in the class (as usual) who thought that was cool ;) heheh. they were all about the misconceptions - oh, the misconceptions! like, everything we thought we knew was a misconception. and like afterwards, everyone was scared to TOUCH crap! haha ... and all the girls wanted to get pap-smears and we all practically signed up to get the oracuse (sp?) tests done at student health services. haha ... talk about E-fucking-FFECTiVE! they passed around condoms again. they have the most awesome condoms! haha, like you just have to get one coz theyre so awesome. i end up sending them to ryan. but yeah, the guy was all, it looks like a lollipop but you pop it on your lolly. hahaha

during the break, my friend nikel picked me up to walk around. the Breezeway. Pontiac was on campus for free stuff. we had to go through this thing first where you had to stop by each car on display, study it, then answer questions about it. at each car we got a stamp and if we played the game there, we won a prize. nikel had friends running each table so we got lotsa prizes. i sunk a hole in one at this putt-putt(sp?!) game and got a keychain! haha ... nikel sunk 5 basketballs and won a Bacardi shirt and didn't want it coz it was gray and he wanted the red one so he gave it to me! woohoo! haha ... then he won another thing and got a visor. we went through all of that to get the free food in the end though! haha ... i was hungry too!

ok. i really have to end this. i have a project due tomorrow. till next time. i love you and miss you all!
